The Parish Council recognizes the importance of preserving the area’s distinct identity and ensuring that future growth is carefully planned. The purpose of this report is to help protect and enhance the unique landscape and character of Ponsanooth Parish while allowing for an approriately small scale of new development to meet local needs. By identifying and recording key landscape features, the report provides a foundation for making informed decisions about where and how development should take place. This will help balance the need for new housing and infrastructure with the protection of the Parish’s special character.
